Today's velocity of life can consume and control us, until we're exhausted, overwhelmed, overscheduled, and our breakneck pace begins to feel normal and expected. What if your life could be different? What if you could be certain you were living the life God called you to live—and building a legacy for those you love?
If you crave a simpler life anchored by the priorities that matter most, roll up your sleeves. Simplified living requires more than just cleaning out your closets or reorganizing your desk drawer. It requires uncluttering your soul. By eradicating the stuff that leaves your spirit drained, you can stop doing what doesn't matter—and start doing what does.
In Simplify, bestselling author Bill Hybels identifies the core issues that lure us into frenetic living, and offers practical steps for sweeping the clutter from our souls.
Join us for Sunday School each Sunday following the church service.
The Youth of our Church are excited about planning an upcoming Mission trip. The destination has not been chosen yet. Watch out for some exciting news in the next few weeks. We will be doing some fundraisers for the trip and hope that everyone will support them.
Compassion for Community
There have been many concerns that we as Zion Church have been able to help with due to the generosity of your giving. Over the past few months we have given to the following: young Philippine lady going to college to help with college tuition, Kelly Huneke fund, Savanna family dealing with unexpected loss, Stockton fire department, Pearl City student living on own trying to make it by himself to graduation this year, and HCC servant leadership ‘One Meal ‘ fundraiser. If you know of a need in the community, please feel free to contact Pastor Ed.
Pearl City Food Pantry
The Pearl City Food Pantry is in need of the following items: laundry soap, Kleenex, paper towels, dish soap, crackers, bath soap, kitchen cleanser, sugar, toilet paper, fabric softener sheets, flour and juice. Anything is greatly appreciated!
The pantry is open the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, at the lower level of the Pearl City United Methodist Church from 9-11am. Donations to the pantry can be brought to Zion Church or placed in the donation barrel at the Pearl City State Bank lobby. If you are interested in helping with the pantry in May, please see Cynthia Hasselman or Sharon Johnson.
